PVT and ice storage
PVT modules are often used in combination with ice storage. A plus energy system is thus very easy to implement: For multi-family houses, superstructures and even for high-rise buildings. Ice storage is 100 % sustainable and can also be implemented, where ground source heat pumps are not approvable or not economical enough.

Neudorf Oberkulm development
The Neudorf development with 3 apartment blocks is being built in Oberkulm AG. These are being realised with a modern ice storage heating system from B-Solartec AG.
PVT and earth probe regeneration
Another common application of PVT collectors is the regeneration of ground probes and ground registers. They prevent the cooling of the ground, increase the efficiency of the heat pump and minimize the length of the borehole heat exchanger. The larger the ground probe field, the more important is its regeneration.

GWG Winterthur residential complex
In Winterthur, the GWG has renovated the heating system in its Hündlerstrasse 18 - 22 development and opted for geothermal probe heat pumps that are fully regenerated with PVT collectors.
PVT and heat pump
This is the 3rd main application of PVT hybrid collectors and closes the gap between classic air/water and geothermal probe heat pumps. This system is more efficient than air/water heat pumps, especially in winter, and is also ideal for small projects with less than 30 kW heat pump output. Combined with our condensation ice storage tank +++, we achieve even greater efficiency and save your budget.

PVT Solar facade Stäfa
In Stäfa, the existing solar thermal collectors in two apartment blocks were replaced with our Blackpearl FSG-335 i hybrid modules and supplemented with one PV field each.
PVT modules are also suitable for heating swimming pools and cooling buildings (active and/or passive night-time cooling). And the further south your project is located, the more interesting direct hot water generation becomes.
