Our history

PVT Solar AG was founded in September 2015 by Michael and Esther Geissbühler and Stefan Jakob. Several patents and products in the field of PVT hybrid collectors, large ice storage systems and condensing ice storage systems have been developed and brought to market maturity. The development was carried out as part of a CTI development project in close cooperation with the University of Applied Sciences, SPF – Institute for Solar Technology, Rapperswil. Since its foundation, the innovative company has developed into a valued partner and supplier for holistic, efficient and future-oriented energy solutions and has been able to realize many exciting projects (see references for a selection of these).

Formative years

For many years, the company was significantly shaped by its founder and managing director, Michael Geissbühler. His commitment, expertise and tireless commitment to quality, technical development and reliability have shaped PVT Solar AG in the long term and paved the way for numerous innovations.
His vision of a clean, efficient and sustainable energy supply is a central part of our corporate culture.

A deep cut

In August 2025, Michael Geissbühler died unexpectedly in an accident. This loss has hit the company deeply. PVT Solar AG looks back on his work with great gratitude and continues his legacy with great respect.

Looking ahead

With the appointment of Daniel Bachmann as the new Managing Director, PVT Solar AG is consistently continuing on its path. As an experienced entrepreneur, he combines continuity with a fresh view and impulses. Together with the entire team, he pursues the goal of continuing to live the values shaped by Michael Geissbühler – innovative strength, reliability and responsibility – and to make PVT Solar AG future-proof and sustainable.
